Soap Ingredients

Just like food, ingredients make a big difference in our soap.  The best premium nourishing oils and butters are used -  extra virgin olive oil, avocado oil, virgin macadamia oil, sweet almond oil, organic shea and cocoa butter are the main ones but there are others.

The main one we use is extra virgin olive oil.  Olive oil is very moisturising in soaps. Olive oil acts as a humectant, drawing moisture to the skin – it adds to the conditioning of the soap bar.

Sweet Almond Oil is used as it produces a stable and rich conditioning lather in the soap – it is high in Vitamins A, B, D & E as well as oleic and linoleic fatty acids – great for dry, flaky and irritated skin. It is also mild and good for sensitive skin.

Avocado Oil give a conditioning quality to the soap and it is rich in Vitamins A and D, lecithin potassium, protein and amino acids which is good for your skin.

Coconut Oil gives a bubbly lather and has great cleansing properties to the finished soap. It is high in fatty acids and absorbs well into the skin.

Organic Shea Butter gives emollient and moisturising qualities and is loaded with natural vitamins A, E & F, and antioxidants.
